The paper substantiates the need to move from structures that do not meet modern ergonomic requirements to multifunctional urban design facilities that meet modern ergonomic, aesthetic and socio-cultural requirements. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that everyone has to deal with waiting for transport. The purpose of this work was to create a design for a bus stop pavilion, taking into account all design, technological, economic and aesthetic aspects. The main task is to make the bus stop modern and comfortable, adapted to protect against any adverse weather conditions. The design solution includes functional areas: awaiting area with rain protection, a built-in mini-store and an electronic information board. Special attention is paid to the semiotic component: the elements of the pavilion are engraved with the poet's dictum, which turns the stop from a transit hub into a point of cultural communication and a semantic dominant of the surrounding space. Research method: literature review and analytical. The main principles of the development are ergonomics, functionality and compliance with aesthetic requirements. The field of practical application is a bus stop located near a bookstore. The article analyzes the principles of shaping, color and material-technical solutions that ensure unity with the architectural environment and emphasize local identity. The proposed model of a bus shelter expands the functional range of a typical facility and can be replicated in other locations, taking into account their cultural profile. The results of the research can be used in the practice of architectural and design constructions of public transport stops, as well as in courses for the design of the object-spatial environment.
