Abstract

The variants of the techniques used to determine the vapor permeability of composite textile materials with a membrane layer and recommendations for the choice of the base value of the vapor permeability coefficient are considered. It is shown that in order to increase the accuracy of the assessment it is necessary to be guided by recommendations, which are obtained under comparable conditions controlled by the value of the gradient of partial pressures of water vapor on both sides of the studied sample.
